Gearshift Cables: Removal
2007 Ford Fusion SEL, 2.3 Z, StandardSECTION Removal

- Remove the heater core and evaporator core housing. For additional information, refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Remove the battery tray. For additional information, refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Disconnect the gearshift cables from the transaxle shift control lever.
- Disconnect the gearshift cables from the transaxle bracket.NOTE: Carefully pry the retainer on the gearshift cables. Do not damage the gearshift cable retainers.
