- C1 USE THE DTCs FROM THE PCM SELF-TEST
- Use the recorded PCM continuous and on demand self-test DTCs.
- Is DTC B2141 retrieved?
- YES : Go to C2.
- NO : The system is OK.
- C2 RESET THE PCM/TCM PARAMETERS
- Carry out the parameter reset procedure. Refer to Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) Parameter Reset .
- Did the parameter reset occur?
- YES : Go to C3.
- NO : REFER to INTRODUCTION -- HYBRID ENGINES article.
- C3 TRANSFER THE TCM ID
- Key in the OFF position for a minimum of 3 seconds.
- Key in the ON position. Leave the key in the ON position for 30 seconds.
- Key in the OFF position for a minimum of 3 seconds.
- Key in START position.
- Does the vehicle START?
- YES : The system is OK.
- NO : Go to C4.
- C4 RETRIEVE THE PCM DTCs
- Key in the OFF position for a minimum of 3 seconds.
- Enter the following diagnostic mode on the diagnostic tool: Clear the DTCs
- Key in the OFF position for a minimum of 3 seconds.
- Key in ON position.
- Enter the following diagnostic mode on the diagnostic tool: Retrieve the DTCs
- Is DTC B2141 retrieved?
- YES : Go to C2 and REPEAT the step. If the fault persists, VERIFY the TCM calibration. If the calibration is OK, INSTALL a new PCM. REFER to ELECTRONIC ENGINE CONTROLS - HYBRID article. PROGRAM the keys. REFER to Key Programming Using Diagnostic Equipment . CARRY OUT the parameter reset procedure. REFER to Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) Parameter Reset . CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test. If the vehicle is equipped with the valet feature, PROGRAM the third key (if available) or instruct the customer on how to CARRY OUT this procedure. REFER to Key Programming Using Two Programmed Keys .
