Dial Indicator Gauge with Holding Fixture
100-002 (TOOL-4201-C) or equivalent
    NOTE: Camshaft journals must be within specifications before checking runout.
  1. Use a Dial Indicator Gauge with Holding Fixture to measure the camshaft runout.
    • Rotate the camshaft and subtract the lowest indicator reading from the highest indicator reading.
    • For additional information, refer to the specification chart in the appropriate engine article.
    • If out of specification, install new components as necessary. Refer to the ENGINE article for the procedure.
