Exterior Lighting

The exterior lighting consists of the following:

  • Headlamps
  • Front park/turn signal lamps
  • Rear lamps
  • High-mounted stoplamp
  • Fog lamps
  • Parking lamps
  • License plate lamps
  • Reversing lamps
  • Side marker lamps
  • Side turn signal lamps
  • Stoplamp switch
  • Fog lamp switch
  • Multifunction switch
  • Light sensor

The headlamp switch is integrated into the multifunction switch. For additional information, refer to STEERING COLUMN SWITCHES .

The DRL system operates the low beam headlamps at a reduced intensity. The smart junction box (SJB) supplies pulse width modulated (PWM) voltage to the low beam headlamps when the following conditions are met:

  • The headlamp switch is not in the HEADLAMPS ON position.
  • The ignition switch is in the RUN position.
  • The parking brake control is released.
