Gearshift Lever: Removal

- Remove the gearshift knob.
- Open the storage compartment door.
- Remove the floor console finish panel. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
- Remove the LH floor console trim panel. For additional information, refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL & CONSOLE -- FUSION, MILAN & MKZ article.
- Disconnect the shift cable and the select cable from the gearshift lever.
NOTE:
Carefully disconnect the gearshift cables from the gearshift lever base. Do not damage the gearshift cable retainers.
