Cover Seal: Installation

2007 Ford Escape Base, 2.3 Z, FWD, AutomaticSECTION Installation

  1. Using the Halfshaft Oil Seal Installer, Rear Axle Oil Seal Installer and Handle, install the cover seal.
    • The seal is correctly installed if it is flush with the PTUΒ  case cover.

  2. Using the Handle and PTO Driven Gear Oil Seal Installer, install the deflector.

  3. Install the PTUΒ  . For additional information, refer to POWER TRANSFER UNIT (PTU)Β .
