Cover Seal: Installation

  1. Assemble the Driver Handle, the Halfshaft Oil Seal Installer and the Shaft Bearing Cup Installer as shown in the illustration.

  2. Using the Driver Handle, the Halfshaft Oil Seal Installer and the Shaft Bearing Cup Installer, install the cover seal in the PTU.

  3. Install the intermediate shaft seal deflector. For additional information, refer to INTERMEDIATE SHAFT SEAL DEFLECTORΒ  in this service information.
  4. Fill the PTU as necessary. For additional information, refer to POWER TRANSFER UNIT (PTU) DRAINING AND FILLINGΒ  in this service information.
