Transmission Control Switch (TCS)

The Transmission Control Switch (TCS) control:

  • is located on the end of the selector lever.
    • The TCS is not removable from the selector lever. Install a new selector lever if a new TCS is required.
  • is a momentary contact switch.
  • commands the PCM to disengage or engage the Overdrive (O/D) function of the transmission.
    • When the Overdrive (Circle D) selection is disengaged, the message O/D OFF will illuminate on the Instrument Cluster (IC).
