  1. Put the steering wheel straight ahead and position the vehicle on a hoist.
  2. Raise the vehicle until the tires are several inches off the ground.
  3. Start the vehicle and slightly turn the wheel to the right and remove hands.
  4. If the steering wheel continues to turn on its own to the end stop, replace the steering column. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
