Selector Lever Indicator Adjustment

  1. For either automatic transmission, place the manual control lever in the (D) position.
    • Place the selector lever in the 1st gear position.
    • For 4R70E/4R75E transmissions, move the selector lever 2 detents to the (D) position.
    • For Torqshift® transmissions, move the selector lever 3 detents to the (D) position.
  2. Hang a 1.3 kg (3 lb) weight on the transmission range (TR) selector lever.
  3. Center the pointer in the middle of the (D) position.
    • Rotate the thumbwheel, located on the bottom of the steering column, to adjust the pointer.

  5. Remove the weight.
