- A1 CHECK THE SPEED CONTROL ACTUATOR CABLE
- Check the speed control actuator cable for correct attachment at the speed control actuator and throttle body.
- Is the speed control actuator cable attached correctly?
- Yes : GO to A2.
- No : CONNECT the speed control actuator cable. TEST the system for normal operation.
- A2 CHECK FOR CORRECT AMOUNT OF SLACK IN THE SPEED CONTROL ACTUATOR CABLE
- Remove the speed control actuator cable from the throttle lever.
- Check for 0-6 mm (0.24 inch) of slack (extra length) in the speed control actuator cable, beyond the throttle attachment.
- Is there less than 6 mm (0.24 inch) of slack in the cable at the throttle connection?
- Yes : GO to A3.
- No : INSTALL a new speed control actuator cable. REFER to SPEED CONTROL CABLE - 3.0 (2V) or SPEED CONTROL CABLE - 3.0 (4V) . TEST the system for normal operation.
- A3 CHECK FOR A STICKING OR BINDING SPEED CONTROL ACTUATOR CABLE
- Disconnect the speed control actuator cable from the speed control actuator.
- Check the speed control actuator cable for sticking or binding.
- Is the speed control actuator cable OK?
- Yes : INSTALL a new speed control actuator. REFER to SPEED CONTROL ACTUATOR . TEST the system for normal operation.
- No : REPAIR or INSTALL a new speed control actuator cable. REFER to SPEED CONTROL CABLE - 3.0 (2V) or SPEED CONTROL CABLE - 3.0 (4V) . TEST the system for normal operation.
