- H1 CHECK FOR PROPER OPERATION OF THE INTERIOR LIGHTS
- Turn ON the interior lights.
- Do the interior lights operate normally?
- Yes : GO to H2.
- No : To continue diagnosis, REFER to INTERIOR LIGHTING .
- H2 RETRIEVE DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES
- Used the recorded results from the SJB self-test.
- Are any DTCs retrieved?
- Yes : If B1302 or B1304, GO to H5. For all other DTCs, REFER to SMART JUNCTION BOX (SJB) DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) INDEX .
- No : GO to H3.
- H3 CHECK THE POWER TO THE SJB FUSE 10 (30A)
- Disconnect: SJB Fuse 10 (30A).
- Key in ON position.
- Measure the voltage between the SJB fuse 10 (30A), input side, and ground.
- Is the voltage greater than 10 volts?
- Yes : GO to H4.
- No : REPAIR circuit 1001 (WH/YE). CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test.
- H4 CHECK DELAYED ACCESSORY RELAY OPERATION
- Connect: SJB Fuse 10 (30A).
- Key in ON position.
- Select SJB active command for the delayed accessory relay.
- Trigger delayed accessory relay to ON.
- Operate the power windows.
- Do the power windows operate?
- H5 CHECK THE DELAYED ACCESSORY RELAY
- Key in OFF position.
- Disconnect: Delayed Accessory Relay.
- Carry out the Relay Component Test. Refer to COMPONENT TESTING article for component testing.
- Did the relay pass the component test?
- Yes : GO to H6.
- No : INSTALL a new delayed accessory relay. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test.
- H6 CHECK FOR CORRECT SJB OPERATION
- Disconnect all SJB connectors.
- Check for:
- corrosion
- pushed-out pins
- Connect all SJB connectors and make sure they seat correctly.
- Operate the system and verify the concern is still present.
- Is the concern still present?
- Yes : INSTALL a new SJB. REFER to MULTIFUNCTION ELECTRONIC MODULES . CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the SJB self-test.
- No : The system is operating correctly at this time. Concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test.
