CAUTION:
While repairing the power steering system, care should be taken to prevent the entry of contaminants or premature failure of the power steering components can occur.
- Remove the power steering pump pulley. For additional information, refer to POWER STEERING PUMP PULLEY .
- Disconnect the power steering reservoir pump hose and pressure line from the power steering pump.
- Drain the power steering oil reservoir.

Vehicles with 4.6L, 5.4L and 6.8L engines shown, 6.0L engine is similar.
