PINPOINT TEST M: THE DOOR AJAR INDICATOR IS INOPERATIVE (CHIME IS OPERATIVE/DOES NOT OPERATE CORRECTLY)

Test M1-M2:

Test M2-M4:

Normal Operation
The normally open door ajar switches are directly hardwired to the SJB. When any door is open, the door ajar switch provides a ground signal to the SJB and when the door is closed, the door ajar switch opens, removing the ground signal. The SJB uses the multiple inputs from the door ajar switches to determine whether the doors are in the opened or closed position. The SJB then provides a signal to the instrument cluster over the SCP communication network, circuits 914 (TN/OG) and 915 (PK/LB). A door ajar chime that is operating correctly indicates that the SJB is monitoring and transmitting the correct operation of the door ajar switches to the instrument cluster.

Possible Causes
- SJB
- instrument cluster
