- Remove the RCM fuse F2.26 (10A) from the CJB. Disconnect negative battery cable. Wait at least one minute for backup power supply to deplete stored energy. Remove air bag simulator from clockspring connector. Install driver air bag module. See DRIVER AIR BAG MODULEΒ . Remove air bag simulator from passenger air bag vehicle harness connector. Reconnect passenger air bag module connector.
- Ensure all restraint system diagnostic tool(s) that may have been installed during the repair have been removed from the vehicle and all SRS components are connected. Turn the ignition from off to on. Install the RCM fuse F2.26 (10A) to the CJB and install the cover. Reconnect negative battery cable. Recheck system operation. Perform SYSTEM OPERATION CHECKΒ . Reprogram preset radio frequencies and set clock.
WARNING:
Be sure that nobody is in the vehicle and that there is nothing blocking or set in front of any air bag module when the battery ground cable is connected.
