P1229 - SUPERCHARGER INTERCOOLER PUMP (ICP) NOT OPERATING

Description:  The ICP DTC sets when the PCM calls for the pump to operate but no current is detected.
Possible Causes: 
  • Pump motor open circuit.
  • Pump relay coil open.
  • Open circuit between the relay and pump.
  • Damaged PCM.
  • Pump motor shorted.
  • Open circuit between the PCM and the relay.
  • Poor pump ground connection.
Diagnostic Aids:  Check for voltage at the relay. Check the fuse in the power feed. Check the ground connection of the pump motor. The PID reading is on/off.
