Oil Pan: Removal
2004 Ford Econoline E150, Van Cargo, 4.6 WSECTION Removal

- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
- Remove the intake manifold. For additional information, refer to INTAKE MANIFOLDΒ .
- Remove the engine cooling fan and fan shroud. For additional information, refer to ENGINE COOLING .
- Remove the retainers and the shield.
- Remove the nut attaching the transmission oil level tube.
- Disconnect the wiring harness retainer.
- Remove the stud bolts and position the heater outlet tube aside.
- Remove the two transmission-to-engine bolts.
- Disconnect the oil fill tube from the RH valve cover.
- Removal the bolt and the oil fill tube.
- Assemble the special tools.
- Install the special tools.
- Install the special tool and support the engine.
- Drain the engine oil and remove the oil filter.

The RH is shown, LH is similar.
