Valve Springs: Installation
2004 Ford Econoline E150, Van Cargo, 4.6 WSECTION Installation

- Position the valve spring and the valve spring retainers.
- Install the special tool between the valve spring coils to prevent valve stem seal damage.
- Use the special tool to compress the valve spring. Install the valve spring retainer keys.
- Remove the special tools.
- Install the camshaft roller followers. For additional information, refer to CAMSHAFT ROLLER FOLLOWERΒ .
- Install the spark plugs. For additional information, refer to ENGINE IGNITION .
- If equipped with fire suppression system, repower the system.
