PCM will disable all fuel injectors whenever an engine RPM or vehicle overspeed condition is detected. The purpose of engine RPM or vehicle speed limiter is to prevent damage to powertrain. In this strategy, vehicle will exhibit a rough running engine condition. Once driver reduces excessive speed, vehicle will return to normal operating strategy.
