  1. Use a Valve/Clutch Spring Tester to check the valve spring for correct strength at the specified valve spring length.
    • For additional information, refer to Specifications in the appropriate ENGINE article.
    • If out of specification, install new components as necessary. Refer to the appropriate ENGINE article for the procedure.
