Verify battery condition. Charge or replace battery as necessary. Connect load tester and ammeter according to tool manufacturer's instructions. With engine running at 2000 RPM and all accessories off, load system until amperage output peaks. Generator should produce at least 65 amps at 2000 RPM. If output is not as specified, repair by symptom. See SYMPTOM INDEXΒ  table under SYSTEM TESTS.
