P1549 - INTAKE MANIFOLD COMMUNICATION CONTROL CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION

Description:  The IMCC or intake manifold tuning (IMT) valve system is monitored for failure during continuous or KOEO self-test. The test fails when the PCM detects a concern with the IMT valve output circuit.
Possible Causes: 
  • Open IMT valve circuit.
  • Open VPWR circuit.
  • Shorted IMT valve circuit.
  • Damaged IMT valve.
  • Damaged PCM.
Diagnostic Aids: 
  • An IMT valve fault PID (IMTVF) displaying YES may indicate a fault.
