2004 Ford Econoline E150, Van Cargo, 4.6 WSECTION Removal and Installation
NOTE:
The ABS module mounts to the HCU on a bracket on L/H inner fender well in engine compartment.
  1. Disconnect the battery. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
  2. Position the radiator coolant reservoir aside.
    1. Remove the bolts.

  3. Remove the four screws and position the ABS module to gain access to the electrical connector.

  4. Disconnect the ABS module electrical connector.
    1. Release the lock tab.
    2. Pull the connector from the module.

  5. Remove the ABS module.
    1. Lift the ABS module slightly and disconnect the ABS pump motor electrical connector.
    2. Remove the ABS module from the vehicle.

  6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
