Section 68 (Air Bag Restraint Systems): Diagnostics: Self-Diagnostics: Notes
The AIR BAG warning light is used to diagnose malfunctions or faults in air bag system. Air bag diagnostic monitor operates in 2 diagnostic modes: User Mode and Diagnosis Mode. The diagnosis mode will display any fault present in the air bag system. Diagnosis Mode cannot be entered if no malfunctions are detected in User Mode. Ignition switch is used to alternate from one mode to another.

When to See a Mechanic
