Removal And Installation: Spring: Installation
2003 Ford Windstar BaseSECTION Installation

- Inspect and if necessary, install a new jounce bumper.
- Lubricate the top of the new jounce bumper with grease.
- Position the spring upper seat onto the spring with the end of the spring 0-10 mm (0-0.39 in) from the step on the seat.
- If removed, position the spring lower seat into the lower arm aligning the recess in the seat with the projection on the lower arm.
- Position the spring onto the lower arm with the end of the spring 0-10 mm (0-0.39 in) from the step on the spring seat.
- Using the jack, raise the lower arm and install a new lower arm outboard bolt.
NOTE:
Do not tighten the bolt at this time.
NOTE:
Before tightening any suspension bushing fasteners, the suspension must be at the bushing fastener tightening position. This will prevent incorrect clamp load and bushing damage.
