EVAP Canister Vent Solenoid

2003 Ford Windstar BaseSECTION EVAP Canister Vent Solenoid

Turn ignition off. Disconnect Canister Vent (CV) solenoid wiring harness connector. Using a DVOM, measure resistance between CV solenoid terminals. If resistance is not 48-65 ohms, replace CV solenoid and repeat QUICK TEST in SELF-DIAGNOSTICS - CNG, FLEX-FUEL & GASOLINE article. If resistance is 48-65 ohms, solenoid is okay. If fault is still present, perform TEST HX: EVAPORATIVE EMISSION MONITOR & SYSTEM under SYSTEM TESTS in SELF-DIAGNOSTICS - CNG, FLEX-FUEL & GASOLINE article.
