Retrieving Fault Codes
Connect NGS tester to Data Link Connector (DLC), located under instrument panel to right of steering column. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. On NGS tester, select MODEL YEAR and VEHICLE. Select DIAGNOSTIC DATA LINK. Select RCM (restraints control module). Select DIAGNOSTIC TEST MODES. Select RETRIEVE/CLEAR CONTINUOUS DTCs. Press START. All continuous DTCs will be displayed on NGS tester screen. Record DTCs for reference. See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) IDENTIFICATIONΒ table. When DTCs are cleared, they cannot be retrieved.

When to See a Mechanic
Stop DIY work and contact a certified mechanic immediately if any of the following apply:
