Removal & Installation: Condenser: Removal
1999 Ford Mustang GT, 2D Convertible, StandardSECTION Removal
- Discharge A/C system, using approved refrigerant recovery/recycling equipment. Remove battery and battery tray. Remove upper radiator sight shield. Remove coolant recovery reservoir and bracket, and position out of way. Disconnect radiator fan motor wiring and position harness aside.
- Disconnect refrigerant line fittings from condenser. Remove radiator support brackets and tilt radiator rearward.
- Remove 4 push-pins holding wiring harness on radiator support and position wiring out of way. Remove 2 screws attaching top of condenser to radiator support. Lift condenser from vehicle. Cap refrigerant lines to prevent entry of dirt and moisture.
