Master Window/Door Lock Switch

1999 Ford Mustang GT, 2D Convertible, StandardSECTION Master Window/Door Lock Switch

Remove master window/door lock switch. Check continuity between appropriate switch terminals with switch in appropriate position. See MASTER WINDOW/DOOR LOCK SWITCH TESTING (CONVERTIBLE)  or MASTER WINDOW/DOOR LOCK SWITCH TESTING (COUPE)  table. See Fig 1 or Fig 2 . If continuity does not exist between specified terminals, replace master window/door lock switch.

Left Rear Window
Down 10 & 14; 12 & 15
Neutral 10, 12 & 14
Up 10 & 15; 12 & 14
Right Rear Window
Down 11 & 14; 13 & 15
Neutral 11, 13 & 14
Up 11 & 15; 13 & 14
Window Lock-Out Switch Locked 15 & 16
Door Lock Switch
Lock 2 & 5; 3 & 4
Neutral (2) 1 & 4; 2 & 5
Unlock 1 & 4; 2 & 3
(1) Continuity should never exist between terminals No. 14 and 15.
(2) With door lock switches at rest, continuity should not exist between terminals No. 2 and 3 or between terminals No. 3 and 4.

Neutral (2) 1 & 4; 2 & 5
Unlock 1 & 4; 2 & 3
(1) Continuity should never exist between terminals No. 9 and 11, between terminals No. 11 and 14, between terminals No. 7 and 10 or between terminals No. 10 and 12.
(2) With door lock switches at rest, continuity should not exist between terminals No. 2 and 3 or between terminals No. 3 and 4.
