Power Six-Way

1997 Ford Taurus V8-3.4L VIN N SHOSECTION Power Six-Way
The six-way power seat system contains the following features:

- A screw-type drive for seat adjustment
- Horizontal, vertical and tilt adjustments
- A reversible seat regulator motor, seat regulator control switch, vertical screw and horizontal screw drives
- The mechanical portion of the front seat track in the horizontal drive consists of a screw drive on each track with a transmission on the inboard side

The front armature and the horizontal drive units are activated when the seat regulator control switch is actuated.

The seat moves forward or rearward by means of the screw drive mounted to the lower track traveling through the transmission housing on each upper track.

The seat regulator motor and transmission are serviced only by replacing the entire front seat track. The seat regulator control switch is serviced separately.

Circuit Protection
The power seat circuit is protected by Fuse 6 POWER SEATS (30 A) in the power distribution box.
