- When liftgate window is open, rear wiper arm and blade assembly should drop down off window glass. If wiper arm does not drop down off window glass, go to next step.
- Inspect fuse No. 2 (10-amp) in instrument panel fuse block. If fuse is okay, go to next step. If fuse is blown, repair shorted circuit as necessary.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect rear wiper motor connector. Disconnect opening liftgate window switch connector located in liftgate. Ensure liftgate window is fully closed. Measure resistance between opening liftgate window switch terminals. If resistance is more than 10,000 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 10,000 ohms or less, replace opening liftgate switch.
- Disconnect rear wiper motor connector. Measure resistance of Black/Yellow wire between rear wiper motor wiring harness connector and opening liftgate window switch wiring harness connector. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, repair open in Black/Yellow wire.
- Measure resistance of Black wire between ground and opening liftgate window switch wiring harness connector. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace rear wiper motor. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, repair open in Black wire.
