Pinpoint Test F - Front Wipers Do Not Park Properly

1997 Ford Explorer 4D Utility, 4.0 E, 4WDSECTION Pinpoint Test F - Front Wipers Do Not Park Properly

  1. Test front wiper motor. See WIPER MOTORΒ  under COMPONENT TESTS. Replace wiper motor as necessary. If wiper motor is okay, go to next step.
  2. Disconnect Front Wiper/Washer Amplifier (FWWA) 6-pin connector and wiper motor connector. Measure resistance of Red wire between FWWA wiring harness 6-pin connector and wiper motor wiring harness connector. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, repair open in Red wire.
  3. Measure resistance of Black wire between ground and wiper motor wiring harness connector. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace FWWA. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, repair open in Black wire.
