1997 Ford Explorer 4D Utility, 4.0 E, 4WDSECTION Checking ABS Warning Light Sequence

Turn ignition switch to ON position with engine off. ABS warning light should come on for 3 seconds, then go out. If ABS warning light operates as specified, go to ROAD TESTING VEHICLE. If ABS warning light comes on and stays on, go to RETRIEVING ABS TROUBLE CODES. If ABS warning light does not come on, go to ABS WARNING LIGHT DOES NOT LIGHT.
