To program (or re-program) transmitter(s) into the remote/keyless entry module, perform the following steps:
- Enter 5-digit permanent entry code into keyless entry keypad. The permanent entry code for the DDM may be determined with a New Generation Star (NGS) Tester. Request PID-KEY CODE. See ON-DEMAND SELF-TEST in MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK article.
- Within 5 seconds of pressing last digit of permanent entry code, press 1/2 button on keypad. All doors should lock and unlock to confirm programming mode has been entered. Press ANY button on remote transmitter within 5 seconds of pressing 1/2 button. All door locks will cycle to indicate successful programming of transmitter.
- If additional transmitters are to be programmed, press any button on next transmitter to be programmed within 5 seconds of programming first transmitter. If programming is successful, doors will signal by locking and unlocking.
- If keypad light goes out before all transmitters are programmed, repeat process from step 1)Β . Up to 4 transmitters may be programmed for a vehicle. Press 7/8 and 9/0 buttons simultaneously on keypad to exit program mode.
NOTE:
The remote/keyless entry module erases all previous transmitters from memory when the transmitters are programmed or re-programmed. The remote/keyless entry module can store up to four transmitters in memory.
