Transmitter Batteries

1997 Ford Contour LX, 2.5 L, StandardSECTION Transmitter Batteries

Remove back cover from transmitter. Carefully remove batteries. Using Gauge System Tester (021-00055), test each battery separately. Connect 300-ohm resistor between battery terminals. Measure voltage across battery terminals. Voltage should be 2.5-3.5 volts. If voltage is not as specified, replace battery.
