  1. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Observe ABS warning light. If ABS light stays on, go to next step. If ABS light turns off after about 10 seconds, fault may be intermittent. Road test vehicle and observe ABS warning light. If ABS light turns on and off during test drive, repair intermittent short in harness, and go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect ABS control module 24-pin connector C129 (located below brake master cylinder). Turn ignition switch to RUN position. If ABS light is off, turn ignition switch to OFF position and go to next step. If ABS light is on, repair short to ground in Black/Red wire between instrument cluster and ABS control module. Reconnect all connectors and retest system.
  3. Inspect, clean and reconnect ABS control module connector C129. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. If ABS warning light comes on, replace HCU. If ABS warning light does not come on, system is operational. Clear DTCs and retest system.
