Before performing any tests on anti-theft system, check the following items to eliminate common problems:

  • Hood/trunk/liftgate properly aligned.
  • Door locks not binding.
  • Fuses not blown.
  • Loose or corroded connections.
  • Damaged wiring harness.
  • Damaged anti-theft control module.
  • Horn, headlights, hazard flashers, interior lights, trunk lights, power door locks and remote keyless entry system operation.

When to See a Mechanic
