1996 Ford Explorer 4D Utility, 4.0 X, 4WD, AutomaticSECTION 4EAT (Probe)

Remove lower oil pan. Loosen servo rod lock nut. See Fig 1. Tighten piston stem to 105-130 INCH lbs. (12-15 N.m). Loosen piston stem 1 1/2 turns. While holding piston stem, tighten lock nut to 18-29 ft. lbs. (24-39 N.m). Install oil pan and refill transmission.
