  1. Use self-powered test light or ohmmeter to check switch continuity. With switch in neutral position, continuity should exist between switch terminals No. 1 and 3, terminals No. 2 and 5, and terminals No. 4 and 6. See Fig 1 .
  2. Place switch in down position, continuity should exist between switch terminals No. 2, 4 and 5, and terminals No. 1 and 3. Terminal No. 6 should be disconnected from any other terminal.
  3. Place switch in up position, continuity should exist between switch terminals No. 2, 3 and 5, and terminals No. 4 and 6. Terminal No. 1 should be disconnected from any other terminal. If switch continuity is not as specified, replace switch.
