Single Switch

1996 Ford Cutaway E350, 7.3 FSECTION Single Switch
  1. With switch removed from vehicle, test switch with self-powered test light or ohmmeter. With switch in NEUTRAL position, continuity should exist between terminals No. 1 and 2 and between terminals No. 3 and 4. There should be no continuity between terminal No. 5 and all other terminals. See Fig 1 .
  2. With switch in UP position, continuity should exist between terminals No. 1 and 5 and between terminals No. 3 and 4. There should be no continuity between terminal No. 2 and all other terminals.
  3. With switch in DOWN position, continuity should exist between terminals No. 1 and 2 and between terminals No. 4 and 5. There should be no continuity between terminal No. 3 and all other terminals.
  4. If continuity is not as specified, replace faulty power window switch and retest system.
