- Power Window Function Test: Turn ignition on. Test all windows. If all power windows operate, system is functioning normally. If any window fails to operate, go to next step.
- Driver's Power Window Operation Check: Repeat step 1). If all windows except driver's window operate, go to step 5). If any or all windows except driver's window fail to operate, go to next step.
- Passenger's Power Window Operation Check: Repeat step 1). If no passenger windows operate, proceed to the next step. If any passenger window operates, proceed to the PASSENGER POWER WINDOW INOPERATIVE test for inoperative window(s).
- Power Window Operation Test: Repeat step 1). If some windows operate, go to next step. If all passenger windows fail to operate, repair open in Yellow/Light Green wire between fuse panel and master switch. Retest system.
- Master Power Window Switch Test: Connect New Generation Star (NGS) tester to Data Link Connector (DLC). Request DDM (Driver's Door Module) LFPW_SW PID. Read PID while holding driver's power window switch for downward operation. If PID indicates driver's power window switch is in DOWN position, go to next step. If PID does not indicate driver's power window switch is in DOWN position, check power window master switch. See MASTER SWITCH under COMPONENT TESTING. Repair or replace as necessary. If master switch tests okay, repair open White/Black wire from driver's door module.
- By-Pass DDM: Unplug 4-pin connector from DDM. Using a jumper wire, connect Tan/Black and Yellow wires together. Attempt to operate driver's power window from master switch (one-touch will not operate). If power window operates, replace DDM. See DRIVER'S DOOR MODULE (DDM) under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Retest system. If power window does not operate, repair open in Tan/Black wire between power window master switch and power window motor. Retest system.
