Master Cylinder/Booster Assembly: Installation
1994 Ford Taurus GL, 4D Sedan, 3.8 4SECTION Installation
- Install NEW "O" ring into groove in master cylinder. Ensure "O" ring is seated properly. Position master cylinder onto mounting studs. Tighten mounting nuts to specification. Reverse removal procedure to complete installation.
- Adjust brake pedal travel switch. See BRAKE PEDAL TRAVEL SWITCHΒ under ADJUSTMENTS. Tighten fittings to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONSΒ . Fill reservoir with DOT 3 brake fluid. Bleed brake system using procedure specified in BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEMΒ . Operate brake several times. Check for leaks.
