KM62 - Check A/C ON Circuit For Short to Power

- Key "OFF".
- A/C relay disconnected.
- Disconnect Powertrain Control Module (PCM). Inspect for damaged or pushed out pins, corrosion, loose wire, etc. Service as necessary.
- Install breakout box, leave PCM disconnected.
- Key "ON", engine "OFF".
- Measure voltage between test pin 54 at the breakout box and chassis ground.
- Is voltage less than 1.0 volt?
Yes -- Go to KM63. KM63 - Check A/C ON Circuit For Short to Ground
No -- Service short to power. Remove breakout box. Reconnect all components. Rerun quick test. Quick Test Appendix (Detailed Testing Instructions)
