- Key "OFF".

- Powertrain Control Module (PCM) connected to breakout box.

- Reconnect transmission 12 pin connector.

- Digital Volt/Ohm Meter (DVOM) on AC scale (to monitor less than 5.0 volts AC).

- Start engine.

- Measure voltage between test pins 24 and 44 at breakout box while varying engine rpm.

- Does AC voltage vary greater than 0.5 volt?

Yes -- Replace PCM. Remove breakout box. Rerun quick test. Quick Test Appendix (Detailed Testing Instructions)

No -- Replace Turbine Shaft Speed (TSS) sensor. Remove breakout box. Rerun quick test. Quick Test Appendix (Detailed Testing Instructions)
