Fuel Pump: Removal

- Relieve fuel system pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE. Remove rear seat cushion and cover. Remove luggage compartment floor cover hold-down pins. Fold cover forward until sending unit access cover is exposed. On 2-door vehicles, remove inner floor filler cover. On all vehicles, remove ground lead and access plate.
- Unplug electrical connector. On 4-door vehicles, remove check valve from fuel pump housing. On all vehicles, disconnect hoses. Remove fuel pump housing. Separate sending unit from housing. Remove fuel pump.
