Bench Testing: Stator
Inspect for continuity between stator coil leads and stator core. Replace stator if continuity exists. Continuity should exist between each pair of stator leads. If there is no continuity, replace stator. If burn spots are evident on stator laminations, replace stator.

When to See a Mechanic
Stop DIY work and contact a certified mechanic immediately if any of the following apply:

- • Brakes feel soft, pull hard to one side, or make grinding noises.
