Abs Module

1994 Ford Aspire SE, AutomaticSECTION Abs Module

The ABS module continuously monitors signals from the wheel cylinders. When it detects impending lock-up, it sends a signal to the hydraulic actuator to reduce pressure to the appropriate brake. The ABS module has self-diagnostic capabilities, and will store any trouble code it detects. When a code is stored in memory, the ANTI-LOCK warning light on the instrument panel will come on. The ABS module is located behind left side of instrument panel.

CAUTION: See ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SAFETY PRECAUTIONS article in GENERAL INFORMATION.
