- Key "OFF".
- Disconnect Powertrain Control Module (PCM). Inspect for damaged or pushed out pins, corrosion, loose wires, etc. Service as necessary.
- Install breakout box, leave PCM disconnected.
- Disconnect Constant Control Relay Module (CCRM).
- Measure resistance between test pin 8 at the breakout box and Pin 5 at the CCRM vehicle harness connector.
- Is resistance less than 5.0 ohms?
Yes -- For dual Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) applications: Go to X86 X86 - Check Front/Left HO2S For Short to Power
All others: Replace PCM. Reconnect CCRM. Rerun quick test. Quick Test Appendix (Detailed Testing Instructions)
No -- Service open circuit. Remove breakout box. Reconnect all components. Rerun quick test. Quick Test Appendix (Detailed Testing Instructions)
