- Turn ignition to RUN position.
- Apply parking brake.
- Observe red brake warning light.
- Does the brake warning light function?
YES -- Release parking brake go to B2. [1][2]B2 - Check For Corroded Fluid Level Connector Pins
NO -- Repair brake warning circuit. Check for open fuse. Check for burned-out bulb or open Circuits 640 (R/Y), 162 (LG/R). Repeat System Pre-Check. Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview
