1993 Ford Bronco 5.0 N, Automatic, E4ODSECTION Description

The AOD is a 4-speed, fully automatic transmission which combines automatic shifting with 2 fuel saving features: an overdrive gear ratio and mechanical lock-out split torque path in 3rd gear. AOD transmission differs from similar Ford C-6 automatic transmissions in that the planetary gear set operates in 4th gear. See Fig 1 .
